Russell Alan Parish “Hollywood”, age 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 2, 2023, at home with his loving wife, daughter, and our furry babies.

Russell was born June 7, 1960, in Torrance, California to Melvin Parish and Linda L. Shamburger. Russell’s father passed away in 1968. Soon after his mom met his step-father, James Hanley and they moved to Miller Creek, Utah.

He married Kimberly Martin on May 7, 1993, in Salt Lake City and had a daughter, Yvette, the same year. We were lucky enough to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year.

Before Russell became disabled from extensive heart issues that he suffered from, he worked for Castleview Hospital where he was fondly known as Hollywood. He made a lot of friends there and always kept those friends in his heart. While in Salt Lake City, he worked the job he loved the most as a tow truck operator for Dealership Towing.

Russell loved nothing more than his motorcycle, old trucks, building model cars, and collecting Hot Wheels. When he was no longer able to ride his motorcycle, he thought the world ended but that is when his extensive collection of Hot Wheels exploded. Also, during this time, he spent many hours fishing in Scofield.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Kim; daughter, Yvette Parish; brother, Kenny (Debra) Parish, all of Price: sister, Lisa Summers, Hartford, KY; son, Nicholas Vasquez and daughter Amanda Parish Jones both through prior relationships; sisters-in-law, LoriAnn Keele, Kris (Troy) Asay; brother-in-law, Paul Martin, all of Price; numerous nieces, nephews and life-long friends. He truly adored his niece Tessa Asay along with his grand-nephew Drayko Ray for whom Russell stated his entire Hot Wheel collection will go to.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, step-father; sister Debra Hathaway; and his loving mother and father-in-law William and Dorothy Martin.

At Russell’s request, he will be cremated, and no services will be held. Celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome to share memories of Russell online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
