The Carbon Dino boy’s basketball team was back on the court for the second game in two nights on Thursday when they welcomed the Tabiona Tigers to Price. The Dinos struggled to keep up early and the Tigers kept pushing their lead eventually taking the 69-57 win.

On Wednesday night the Dinos came away with a victory in a tight one against the Delta Rabbits. Tabiona entered the contest at 8-1 overall and sat in the No.1 spot in the RPI in 1A.

The first quarter was played very close for both teams with the first eight minutes going back-and-forth, with the lead exchanging hands. Tabiona’s Bryson Fabrizio would hit a three-pointer to make the score 21-18 after one. Carbon would go cold offensively in the second putting up 11 points, while the Tigers just methodically went about their business taking a 38-29 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Carbon came out showing some signs of life in the third putting up 17 points in the quarter outscoring Tabiona, who still did just enough to hold the lead headed into the fourth. In the final quarter, Tabiona put up another 17 while holding the Dinos to 11 and handing Carbon the 69-57 loss.

Maddux Wilson scored 13 for Carbon, Zeke Wilson and Kyler Orth each added 11 in the loss.

The Dinos will need a short memory as they will bounce back now into region play when they face Manti (9-4, No. 5 in the RPI) Friday night in Price.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m..
