The Pinnacle Lady Panther basketball team is ready to get back to work. Coming off a loss last Friday at the hands of Whitehorse, Pinnacle knows that there is still plenty of basketball left to play before the playoffs start on February 24.
The Lady Panthers started the season with three straight wins and then they have gone 4-7 since. Just to give you an idea as to how they have been recently, in their last six games they are 3-3.
The Panthers are led by a trio of juniors, Heather Kerr leads the team with 12.5 points per game and 2.6 blocks per game, which lands her in the No. 5 spot in the state of Utah across all classifications. Jostyn McLean is the top rebounder for the squad averaging 14.3 per game and she sits in the No.3 position in the state in that category, and Kaydence Romero leads the Lady Panthers in assists per game with 2.4 and steals at 3.3.
Pinnacle is sitting at 7-7 overall and 0-1 in region play, they also hold the No. 15 spot in the RPI which will be readjusted throughout the remainder of the season when the final spot will be their placement in the season-ending tournament that begins the end of February.
They will be back on the floor at home on Tuesday, when they will welcome Altamont to Price.
Game time is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m..
