Our loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Starla Jean Sandoval laid to rest on January 12, 2024, at 41 years old in Lower Miller Creek, Utah.

Starla Jean Sandoval was born on April 1, 1982 in Price, Utah to Perry Rick and Ruby Jean Rich Sandoval.

During her childhood she loved being with her siblings, going to church with her Grandma Rich, spending time at the skating rink with friends and riding her bike. She also did gymnastics and was great at it, even went on to win in competitions. That would be her proudest achievement until she became a mother on her 15th birthday.

Within the following seven years, her world was formed; her girls.  She loved camping, playing in the water, and above all else, spending time with family. She even delivered her grandson in her parents’ house in 2019.

Starla was such a beautiful, strong, caring, independent, and an incredibly loving, selfless woman. No matter what she was going through, Starla would always do whatever she could to put a smile on others’ faces, especially her girls. Forever putting others before herself. Through her deepest struggle, the hardest trial she faced, never once did she stop trying to be the best mother / grandmother she could be. She showed up for her family, and that’s what’s important.

In the end, she finally had everyone; her family, her girls, her boys, her grandbabies, and the love of her life. As of January 12, 2024, Starla has found peace, and her spirit will live on through all of us.

Starla is survived by her parents, Perry Rick & Ruby Jean Sandoval; her brother, Earnest Sandoval; her sister, Maylene Sandoval; her daughters; Dakosha Lea Olsen, Nikkole Perry Denny, Kasha Rose Sandoval & Keasha Jo Sandoval. The 2 boys she loved and cared for as her own; Kayden Dustin Basso and Brayden James Basso. Her grandchildren, Jaxxa, Dekarra, Huxley, Freya and two more grandbabies on the way; her nieces and nephews, Alex Sandoval, Skyler May, Savannah Walker, Sealenea Hastings, Joshua Perkins and Angel Sandoval; and her fiancé, Christopher L. Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Perry & Rose Sandoval and Edna & Arthur Rich.
