Behind 21 from Zeke Wilson the Carbon Dinos earned a huge victory on Wednesday night in front of the home crowd with a 62-58 win over the No. 2 Canyon View Falcons. The Dinos powered their way through a hotly contested fourth quarter to retain the lead and get the victory.

The win comes on the heels of a four-game losing streak for the Dinos who now sit at 6-9 with a 2-5 Region 12 mark and moved into the top 10 of the RPI in the No.10 spot. Carbon has entered the second half of the region schedule with just seven games remaining in the regular season.

The Dinos and the Falcons maneuvered their way through the the first half.  Carbon would get on the board first with a two-pointer from Carter Warburton but Canyon View came firing right back and when the buzzer sounded for the end of the first quarter, the Dinos were on top 12-8. In the second quarter, it was the Falcons turn putting up 16 while holding the Dinos to 10 and taking the 24-22 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Things got interesting once again towards the end of the third when Canyon View came down and hit a three-pointer to get within one point of the Dinos 38-37 but before the end of the quarter Wilson and Kyler Orth hit back-to-back threes to put Carbon up 44-37 heading into the fourth.  The final quarter was a battle, but the Dinos kept their cool and maintained the lead never giving up the lead and earning the 62-58 win.

Wilson added five rebounds and four assists to go along with his 21. Ryker Butler scored 11, with six rebounds and four assists and Kahner Raby also added 11 pulling down 12 boards.

The Dinos are back on the court Friday night when they welcome North Sanpete (6-9, No. 12) to Price.
