The 42nd Annual Eastern Utah Women’s Conference will take place on Mar. 28 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the USU Eastern Campus in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representatives, Shanny Wilson and Jessica Prettyman to get all the details.

“The conference actually starts at 1:00 pm for those who want to come for the first couple of hours, and just relax, do some fun activities. We’ve got macrame, we’ve got jewelry making, we’ve got yoga, self-defense. Anyway, we are offering a bunch of just different workshops for women to come, to network, to relax, unwind,” said Wilson. At 3:00 pm the breakout sessions will begin and will run till 6:30 pm. The attendees will than gather inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center to enjoy dinner, awards ceremony and keynote speaker.

There will be three different breakout options available for attendees. “So the breakout sessions we have them themed around things that you can benefit from home, your business, within the community or around food. So healthy eating, a guide through Medicare, and then preparing for the workforce and resume writing. We’ve got a little bit of everything for somebody to come and get a benefit from,” stated Prettyman. The cost to attend the Eastern Utah’s Women’s Conference is $25.00 and registration is now open. Organizers are currently accepting nominations for Woman of the Year and you can submit your nominations online at https://eastern.usu.edu/womensconference/ “The Woman of the Year nomination we’re really looking for someone who has done a lot of outstanding service. Someone who highly represents Southeastern Utah, someone who is caring and you know just really outstanding, that really shines above. We’ve nominated a lot of great women over the years. A lot of great women have gotten this prestigious award, so we’re really excited to see who wins it this year,” explained Wilson.
