Seven Carbon High School senior student-athletes have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2023-24 winter season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by the Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.

Individuals are selected for the award based on their athletic ability and academic proficiency. The Academic All-State award is decided by either meeting an index score (view here) or having a 4.0 unweighted grade point average.

Four members of the Dino swim team were awarded for excellence in the pool and the classroom. Cameron Jones from the boy’s team and Ada Bradford, Alyssa Chamberlain, and Lillian Seeley from the Lady Dinos team. The swim team heads back to the water Friday and Saturday at Brigham Young University for the 3A State Championships.

The Dino Dynamics Drill team added two members to the Academic All-State list. Allison Wright and Annika Monson both earned accolades for their hard work this season. The Drill Team competed at their state competition on January 31 and February 1.

In Competitive Cheer Jade Gravley received honors. The Carbon Cheer squad competed at the 3A Championships earning a fourth-place overall finish.
