The 42nd Annual Price City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place at noon on Saturday, Mar. 16 on Main Street and the entire community is invited to attend or participate in the annual event. Castle Country Radio was excited to sit down with Parade Coordinator, Megan Marshall to get all the details.

Right now the city is accepting nominations for Parade Grand Marshall. “We’re looking for that standout community member who deserves recognition. We provide a car for them to ride on, the signage to go along with it. People are really, really honored to receive this recognition and so we encourage everybody to jump a Price City’s website, as soon as you can, give me the name of somebody in this community that deserves it,” said Marshall. The deadline to nominate an individual is coming up very quickly so get your nomination in before Saturday, Feb. 24.

In order to have a parade you have to have floats and lots of them. “We’re encouraging floats from businesses, non-profit organizations, and my personal favorite, family entries. We’ve gotten a lot more these last two years of families doing this activity together, they can build a float. Come out on your side-by-side, your bikes, build something glorious and we’ll give you an award for it,” said Marshall. The registration form to enter a float can be found on the Price City website. There is no cost to participate. This is a great way for businesses, organizations, families, sports teams, civic and church groups to advertise for free.

For more information about nominating a Parade Grand Marshall or entering a float visit the Price City website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/ You will also be able to keep up to date on upcoming city events this Spring and Summer.
