Brandee Joann Burnside (49) of Huntington, Utah, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024 at home with her loving family.

Brandee was born on March 19, 1974 to Kenneth and Lorrie Blake. After Brandee graduated from Carbon High School in 1994, she went on to study cosmetology at CEU and graduated on the dean’s list.

After graduating cosmetology, she married Jim Pugliese and they had a daughter Taylor Pugliese. They later divorced and Brandee moved back to Price, Utah where she started working for Trade Secret and was soon the manager. She remained in that position for many years until its closing. Brandee then partnered with her friend and colleague of many years Kelly Wilson. Together, they opened Perfect Touch Beauty Salon where they remained in business for an additional 15 years.

Brandee married Brian Sherman where she was blessed being a stepmom to Chantel, Crystal, and Jade. They later divorced but remained close friends. Brandee up until the end treasured her relationships with her step-daughters.

In 2014 Brandee was set up on a blind date and introduced to Karl Burnside. After a few short dates, Brandee and Karl fell madly in love. She and Taylor moved to Huntington, Utah to start a blended family with Karl and his son Koen. Brandee and Koen Immediately hit It off, sparking the beginning of their own wonderful relationship. They eventually married and it became the happiest time in both Brandee’s and Karl’s lives. They remained very in love to the end.

The highlight of Brandee’s life was when her granddaughter, Rayvenne Rayne, was born. As you can imagine, Brandee loved being a grandma more that life Itself. She cherished every single moment that she had with Rayvenne. It’s heartbreaking they will not walk the path together.

Brandee had a heart of gold. No stranger ever walked away from her without feeling like they had someone in their corner. Once you became her friend, it became a friendship for life.  Everyone in Brandee’s life will forever remember her as the life of the party. She brought joy to every occasion, even when she wasn’t trying. Brandee had the grace of a ballerina, unfortunately she had the balance of a baby giraffe. You never knew what was coming next, you just knew It was a good idea to have first aid kit handy. Brandee will be missed by so many.

Brandee is survived by her husband, Karl Burnside; daughter, Taylor Pugliese; stepson, Koen Burnside; granddaughter, Rayvenne Rudd; mother, Lorrie Blake; father, Kenneth Blake; brothers, Kenny (Cody) Blake, Chris (Brindy) Blake; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and a large part of Karl’s family who dearly loved Brandee, along with many lifetime friends.
