The Carbon Dinos spring sports are getting ready to roll for the season. Baseball, boy’s soccer, boy’s tennis, softball, girl’s golf, track, and a new entry this season boy’s volleyball will get started in the coming weeks.

Carbon baseball will get started on Tuesday, March 5 when they are set to travel to Vernal to face Uintah.  The Dinos ended last season with a 19-7 record overall and earned first place in Region 12 with an 11-1 mark. Entering the playoffs with the No. 2 spot in the RPI the Dinos lost to eventual State Champions the Juab Wasps and the runner-up Juan Diego. They welcome the Emery Spartans on March 6 for the first home game of the season. The opening round of the state playoffs start on May 4.

The boy’s soccer team opens up play on March 5, when they welcome Canyon View to CHS. They ended last season in the quarterfinal round to runner-up Morgan. The playoffs will start on April 26.

The inaugural game of the Dino Boy’s volleyball season will be on the road on Thursday, March 7 @ Morgan. They will welcome Ogden to Carbon High on the following Thursday, March 12, game time is set for 6:00 p.m.. The opening round of the state playoffs starts on May 4.

Boy’s tennis gets started Thursday, March 7, when the Dinos travel to Canyon View. On March 14, North Sanpete comes to Price in the first home match of the season at 3:30 p.m.. The play-in round of the state tournament is set for May 11.

Girl’s golf starts swinging on March 7, on the road in Delta. The Lady Dinos will welcome Region 12 to the Carbon Country Club on April 1,  and the Region 12 tournament will be held on April 29, at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

Lady Dino softball starts the season on March 8 when Hillcrest comes to town, game time is set for 3:30 p.m.. Carbon finished last season 18-8 overall and finished Region 12 play with a perfect 8-0 record, earning the No. 4 spot in the final RPI. The opening round of the playoffs is set for May 4.

Carbon track and field gets underway on March 13, when they will be on the road for the Richfield Relays. They welcome schools from around the area for the Farm Bureau Invitational on March 16. The Region 12 Championships will occur on March 8 & 9 at Juab.
