The spring sports season started on Tuesday as baseball and boy’s soccer took to their respective fields. Softball, girl’s golf, and track and field will soon follow.

Baseball ended last season 12-15 overall with a 5-7 record in region play, falling to Ogden in the consolation round. They return on the diamond on March 5 when they travel to Roosevelt to take on Union. The home opener for the Spartans will be on March 11 when they face Uintah. Playoff pods will start on May 4 and the 3A Championships will take place May 9-11 at Kearns High School.

Soccer will also be back on the field on March 5 when they will travel to North Sanpete. the home opener will take place on March 13 when the Canyon View Falcons come to town. Last season the Spartans ended the season 7-6 overall and 6-2 in region play falling to Judge Memorial in the second round. They will look to get back to the postseason when it gets started on April 26, followed by the championship match on May 11.

Lady Spartan softball gets things going on March 7 when Providence Hall comes to town. Emery finished last season at 14-12 overall and 4-4 in Region 12 play, ending the season with a loss to Providence Hall in the consolation bracket. Playoff Pods start on May 4 and the Championships begin May 9.

The Lady Spartan Golf team also starts the season on March 7, on the road in Delta. The region comes to Millsite on April 11. The Region 12 Championship will be on April 29 at Meadowbrook Golf Club, and the State Championship will be held on May 17 & 18 at Meadowbrook as well.

Track and Field starts their season on March 16 at the Farm Bureau Invitational at Carbon High School. Emery will host the Darrel Gardner Invitational on April 24. The Region 12 Championships will be held on May 8 & 9 at Juab and the 3A State Championships will take place at BYU on May 17 & 18.
