Erma Lou Jones, age 91, died March 10, 2024, in Price Utah.
She was born in Cleveland, Utah on October 27, 1932, to George Douglas and Luella Lucille Gordon McMullin. She married Arlin Duane Jones in Cleveland, Utah on June 4, 1949; later sealed October 4, 1958, in Manti, Utah. She lived in Elmo from her marriage.
Erma was raised in Cleveland and attended school there through eighth grade. She graduated high school in Huntington from North Emery High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many callings and enjoying her time doing so. She was a visiting teacher for more than 65 five years, and happy that she could serve so long. She was an extremely hard worker. She worked at the restaurant in Huntington, as a seamstress at Koret of California in Price, later as a custodian starting at the Elmo church, and later as a traveling custodian for the Church.
She kept an immaculate home and kept everyone that showed up filled with food and good company. She could sew anything and made many of the clothes that her children wore. She went out of her way to make everyone feel loved. She had a kind heart and a dry wit that those associated with her enjoyed. She always spoke her mind.
She claimed to dislike some of the family dogs, often crying for days when they passed, the whole time claiming that she didn’t like the mangy things.
She was a wonderful example of wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Deborah) Jones of Elmo, Sherrie (Mark) Chapman of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Curtis Jones of Huntington, Utah, Stacey (Derri) Jewkes of Clawson, Utah, and Kim (LaDawn) Jones of Orem, Utah; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane; and son, Bart Jones.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the church from 6:00-7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment, Elmo Town Cemetery.
