The MECCA Mountain Bike Club is hosting their 38th Annual Bike the Swell Lamar Guymon Memorial Mountain Bike Festival on Apr. 26 through Apr. 28. Event Representative, Terri Bennett took time to come into the Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.

The festival will be held at the Buckhorn RV Resort in Huntington, Utah, which is perfect hub for all the rides. “In the past it was held in Green River and last year we came up to this side of the county, up into Huntington so we have all new rides. We have new rides this year, over what we had last year, so people will see different areas and a variety of other views out on our desert this year,” said Bennett. MECCA Mountain Bike Club is a non-profit organization and their goal is to promote bicycling with an emphasis on mountain biking.

Officials will be set up at Buckhorn RV Resort in Huntington where registration/check-in will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, Apr. 26. “That’s where everything will be held. They have a great facility there for us and a covered pavilion. Availability to bring your RV and stay right there on site and they have cabins. So it’s a really great place to just stay and then you can walk right up to the venue site and do everything there,” stated Bennett. Huntington, Utah is a perfect central location for all rides out to the Swell.

Registration is currently open and available online at the festival website at https://www.biketheswell.org/ “The registration is $75.00 up until Apr. 15. This includes a swag bag with a t-shirt and lots of gifts. It includes all of their meals, we will be feeding Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so all the meals will be provided this year. It gets you all of your rides guided. Kids under the age of 12 eat for free and ride for free but they don’t get a swag bag,” explained Bennett. There is sure to be a trail to fit your needs as rides run from beginner to intermediate levels.
