Price City is excited to be hosting a Renaissance Festival on Apr. 26 and 27 at Washington and Pioneer Park in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Coordinator, Megan Marshall to discuss all the details for this year’s festival.

The annual Renaissance Festival is coming together and they have a plethora of vendors scheduled to be in attendance at the festival. “I have sold out twice from vendors all over the country, if you can believe it, and by twice, I mean we had to increase the number of booth spaces to accommodate the huge demand. Now we have a stand-by list of at least a dozen vendors just this morning, and we still got a month and a half to go. The interest for this has spread all over the U.S. and we’re expecting a huge turnout,” said Marshall. The demand for vendors has increased this year so Festival Officials had to reserve the area at Pioneer Park so they could have more room.

“At 4:00 pm on Apr. 26, that’s a Friday, that’s when all of the activities start, we’ve got the Royalty Parade to kick things off with, and then some amazing headlining entertainers. There’s something going on, on the stage all the time, as well as secondary stages and entertainers just roaming around the parks engaging with the audience. But we got several new activities, several new entertainers, stilt walkers, jugglers, we got giant dragon puppets that are coming in,” stated Marshall. The fire performers that were here last year and who put on a magnificent show are scheduled to return again this year.

Attendees will have an opportunity on Friday night to watch a movie and dine with Festival Royalty, which is a new event this year. “We’re doing the Princess Bride, a free movie in the park on Friday night, as well as, King’s Feast on Friday night. Now that a ticketed event for a full dinner with special VIP entertainment – so we’ve got more details of that to come,” explained Marshall. The festival will again take place on Saturday, Apr. 27 with live entertainment, vendors, kid’s activities, demonstrations and so much more.
