Stuart K. Jensen, age 74, returned to his heavenly home on March 15, 2024, while checking on the animals and land he loved so much. He was born May 4, 1949, in Price, Utah, to Ernest Ralph Jensen and Velda Mae Jones. He married Jeannie Curtis on August 15, 1970. They were sealed as an eternal family on September 24, 1977. Stuart loved his wife dearly, and together, they created countless memories with their children and grandchildren.

Family relationships, both immediate and extended, were important to Stuart. He nurtured those relationships in many ways, making the most of every moment with family. He shared his love for God’s creations with his children and grandchildren by involving them in his daily chores, instilling the character of work ethic in them. His children and grandchildren knew their most dedicated fan was in the stands for their music or dance recitals, dance competitions, plays, concerts, swim meets, or ballgames, and his loud presence will be greatly missed.

Stuart grew up in Castle Dale, attended Emery High School, and graduated from Utah State University before returning home to help his father run the family farm. He was a farmer by day and a coal miner by night. Like his dad, he loved horses and was an avid rider from the time he was young. He belonged to the Blue and Gold Junior Riding Club and the Senior Riding Club. He was a leader of the junior riding club from 1974 to 1988, donating unmeasurable hours to share his knowledge and love for riding with the youth. He loved his family, his farm, and the mountains where he traveled miles on any one of his favorite horses, herding or gathering cows. Stuart valued the friendships and acquaintances he made while on the back of a horse.

Stuart was a bright light making everyone feel they were his best friend. He cared deeply for others with no limit to his kindness. This community he loved so much will surely miss his sense of humor, support, and his two-toned truck driving around town, usually headed out to offer someone a loving hand. He was committed to his community and served on many civic and agricultural boards.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and the goodness of the gospel. He served faithfully in many capacities, most recently as a stake high council member, where he cherished the relationships he built while lovingly ministering to stake and community members.

Stuart is survived by his wife, Jeannie; children, Wade (Rebecca) Jensen, Jeanna (BJ) Grover, and Gayla (Nathan) Gerrard; eight grandchildren; brother, Darwin Jensen; sisters, Joyce Miya and Karen Tamllos.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Velda.
