The Helper Saturday Vibes gatherings are kicking off on May 11 running through till September 28. This community get-together has a slew of activities, food, and music for the entire family to enjoy. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Kimberly Kuehn and Administrative Assistant, Joelle Amaya to discuss all the details.
“Vendors are coming in, applications, sponsors, our contact with the media has upped the ante, so we’re super excited about that. We’ve got a couple of changes about this year for the foot print of the market. We have our food vendors that are going in to the Zions Bank parking lot instead of old City Hall because big news, breaking news, old City Hall is being renovated,” said Kuehn. This will keep the public safe from the construction site. This year’s events will take place the second and fourth Saturdays starting in May running through till September.
The highlight for many folks that attend Helper Saturday Vibes is the bands that perform live in the Main Street Park. This year the musical set up is going to be a bit different as Kuehn explains, “So we’ve got a really great lineup this year, we’ve got nine events. We’ve got every single Saturday the beginning band is someone local like we’ve got Dale’s Hause, we got Misty Ritchie, we got Highland Markell, we’ve got DoseyDont. Those are people that are getting up on the stage before the bigger band happens, and it’s more of an organic local feel.” The first group will take the stage at 5:00 pm and the second band will take stage at 8:00 pm.
Helper Saturday Vibes has a few job openings available if anyone is interested in filling these positions. “We are looking for a Lead Logistics Staff Member, who is basically, what did we say, first one there, last one to leave. A Kids Activity Coordinator we’re looking for somebody that’s creative and wants to come up with some ideas to keep the little kiddos busy,” said Amaya. Those individuals interested in applying for these positions may do so on the Helper Saturday Vibes website at https://www.helpervibes.com/
There is still time for local businesses or organizations to become a part of this summer event. “We’ve got quite a few phone calls for new partnerships this year, so we’re really, really excited to help those businesses like start or existing to continue to progress into a stronger business. So partnerships this year are fabulous, we’re super excited to announce them in a couple of weeks,” said Kuehn.
