Price Chapel has several special gatherings scheduled for Holy Week this year and everyone is invited to attend. Pastor Steve Swinburne stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.

Both the church and pastor recently celebrated some exceptional milestones. “We actually just celebrated a few weeks ago, ten years of being here at Price Chapel, our family they did a little celebration for us, which was really fun. Then our church we just celebrated at the beginning of the year, 80 years as a church, so our 80th anniversary, Price Chapel started in 1944, so that was exciting,” said Pastor Swinburne. Price Chapel warmly welcomes people from all walks of life, regardless of where they are on their journey with God.

Holy Week will kick off on Palm Sunday, Mar. 24 as Pastor Swinburne explains, “It begins this Sunday, this Sunday is Palm Sunday. Every week we have two morning Worship Services 9:30 am and 11:00 am so we’ll have that on Palm Sunday like normal. We will be looking at the story of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem, I’ll be sharing a message called the Presession of the Lambs, I’m excited for so that’ll kick it off.”  Folks are welcomed to join in the livestream if they are unable to attend in person.

There will be Maundy Thursday Service on Mar. 25 at 7:00 pm where folks will remember Jesus washing the feet of his disciples and having the last supper.  The following day Mar. 29 is Good Friday which the day has been set aside for guests to reflect and pray. “It’s a big day, we remember Jesus’ crucifixion. So we will have set up at the church from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm it will be open, it’s a Prayer Experience. So you go in, someone will greet you and give you information. Then it’s kind of a solemn, quiet, experience where you really going through the road the Jesus went through on the way to the cross,” explained Pastor Swinburne. This will take place at the Price Chapel which is located at 611 West Price River Drive.

There will be two Easter Sunday services offered to guests on Mar. 31, 9:30 am and 11:00 am – which will include a kid’s program. “We’ll also be doing a free Easter Breakfast; our Men’s Ministry will be putting it on that’ll be open from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. So if you come in to first service do breakfast afterwards, if you come to second service do breakfast before and we’ll have a great time eating together,” stated Pastor Swinburne.
