
Carbon baseball has put together a pretty impressive record this season that is wrapping up its first month. On Wednesday, they welcomed the Delta Rabbits to Price to face them for the second time in as many days. Carbon put together seven strong innings and earned the 7-1 win.
Carbon owns an 8-2 record overall this season including a 3-0 mark in Region 12 play. On Tuesday, the Dinos traveled to Delta and defeated the Rabbits 12-2.
Wednesday the Rabbits came to Price to face the Dinos, both teams started quietly, and Carbon finally got on the board in the bottom of the third putting up a pair of runs. Another pair of runs came in the bottom of the fourth and then again in the fifth when Stockton Kennedy stepped up to the plate, and before the first pitch, Michael Vigil would steal home. Kennedy would then send a fly ball to left driving in Maizen Prichard. Carbon added one more in the sixth to hold on and take the 7-1 win.
Peyton Molinar collected one hit and collected three RBI’s for the Dinos. Prichard had a pair of hits with one run and one RBI, while Rydge Butler earned a pair of hits and two runs scored.
Prichard got the start going three innings and striking out four. Kennedy went three innings with six hits, giving up one earned run and struck out three. Maddex Willson closed out the game putting in one inning of work and struck out two.
The Dinos will get back on the diamond for the first of three games next week on Tuesday when they travel to Richfield.
Thursday the Dinos will face Salem Hills in Price and then Friday Richfield comes to town.
