Amber Rae Mccoard, 51, was given a surprise opportunity to burst into glitter and fly with the fairies on March 18, 2024.

Amber is survived by her parents Shauna Wright and Jack Burton who welcomed her to the world on March 29, 1972, in Ogden, Utah.

Perhaps what made her beautiful was not only her appearance or what she achieved, but in her love and in her courage and in her audacity to BELIEVE. No matter the darkness around her, light ran wild within her spirit- that light will not be extinguished and will always glow in everything around us.

She is survived by her 2 sisters and one brother, Amy, Jack, II, and Libby. She had 4 nieces and 1 nephew. Amber also leaves behind her one and only son, Colson McCoard (Bailey Jo); her one and only grandson, Rex Jack (RJ); her husband, and the love of her life of 22 years, Michael McCoard; her beloved mother-in-law, Ruth; and her brothers-in-law, Casey and Thomas McCoard and their beautiful families whom she adored as well.
Amber Rae is without a doubt being reunited with many family members and friends who preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  The family asks to please consider donating to the Utah Food Bank (or the food bank in your community) in Amber’s honor in lieu of flowers.
