008-5

The Carbon’s boy’s volleyball squad was back on the floor Tuesday night to face an excellent Layton Christian Academy team. Layton Christian entered the contest with a perfect 6-0 record. Carbon didn’t have the horses to stick with the Eagles and lost in straight sets.

The Dinos sit at 1-10 this season which has really been a learning experience for Carbon. From the beginning, the boys were excited and wanted to play, and their excitement hasn’t changed and they show up day in and day out with the same enthusiasm.

Layton Christian entered the contest a perfect 6-0, only dropping two sets in those victories and they were both in the same match.

Tuesday night the Eagles got straight to work taking a first set victory 25-13. The Dinos were in every set with Layton Christian, but couldn’t find the extra gear to get over the hump falling in sets two and three 25-11, and 25-13.

Jack Hedin and Alexis Bueno each had three service aces in the loss for the Dinos. Zeke Wilson added a pair of blocks and Charles Tima had five digs.

The Dinos will be back on the floor Friday night when the will travel to face the same Layton Christian team.
