The Boys & Girls Club – Price Club is excited to announce that they have a new Club Director and her name is Wynter Pendray. Castle Country Radio had the opportunity to sit down with the new director to get to know her a little bit more.

“Well I have been working at the Boys & Girls Club since September 2022, and I was actually a Youth Development Professional for about a year. Then I became the full-time Youth Development Professional there and just recently got promoted as the Club Director and I love working at the Boys & Girls Club, it is my passion,” said Pendray. She has settled in to her new role quite well and is looking forward to working with the kids and their families.

Students that attend the Boys & Girls Club are always assisted with their homework. “We do have power hour first, at the beginning of the day and that is so the youth get that help before they go home,” stated Pendray. Academics are very important to the club and they want nothing more than to see their students succeed.

Once the homework is done, the fun begins. “We run programs ranging from good character and leadership to healthy lifestyles and academic success. We really love running art projects. We have a Torch Club which is like a Student Government for our Junior Program. We have a Keystone Club which is also that student government for our Teen Program,” explained Pendray. The club strives to provide great learning experiences for their kids.

The Boys & Girls Club not only offers its members an after-school snack but they offer them dinner as well. “We have started serving dinner. We serve dinner for our teens at 5:00 pm and dinner for our juniors is at 5:30 pm every single day. They also get a snack when they come in and when we are open full days so like in the summer time, they usually will get breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner,” said Pendray.
