The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for their upcoming Apr. Luncheon on Apr. 18. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to get all the details.

This month’s luncheon will be held at noon at Price Chapel behind Wendy’s. “Price Chapel they are so kind to host us and they have the best tech at Price Chapel, it’s a great place to host a luncheon. This month we’re featuring Marketing Elevated and they are going to be doing a training on Canva – creating your brand, Canva 101,” explained Haeck. The chamber tries to host a “training” of some sort every quarter so this is the first one for the year.

As always, the Chamber has chosen a Business and Community Spotlight to share with guests at the luncheon. “We’re going to be featuring our Business Spotlight are Flawless Sheeting and Jones & DeMille Engineering. Then our Community Spotlight is Helper Saturday Vibes,” said Haeck. The lunch will be catered by Juniper Kitchen with the cost of $18.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members. RSVP by Friday, Apr. 12 by contacting the Chamber office.

One of two main fundraising events that the Chamber hosts is coming up on Friday, May 3 at 7:00 pm, it’s the annual Casino Night at the Carbon County Event Center. “Slickenstein Poker is coming again and such a professional outfit. Also, the great thing about Slickenstein Poker is that their dealers are willing to teach you, they’re kind, and helpful and so this is a good time for you to learn,” explained Haeck. There will be BINGO, Black Jack, Craps, Faro, Let It Ride, Roulette and Poker that will be played during the Casino Night event.

Tickets for the big Casino Night event are currently on sale. “You can get them at the office or you can call me at the office (435) 637-2788. You can buy them online or all of our Chamber Members have tickets that they are selling,” said Haeck. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to enjoy the festivities during Casino Night.
