Carbon soccer has been enjoying a great season, and that continued on Friday when they welcomed the Juab Wasps. Cannon Mortensen and Ty Mortensen combined to shut out the Wasps, and the Dinos found the back of the net twice in the 2-0 win.

Carbon moves to 8-1 overall and in Region 12 play with the win, they also hold the No. 3 spot in the RPI, with fellow region member Manti at No.1. Manti is also the only loss on the Dinos record.

The Dinos put a goal on the board in the first half, and on the defensive side blanked the Wasps, as Carbon would take a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was a copy of the first, as the Dinos would again turn away any Juab advances to keep them scoreless and Carbon would find the back of the net once more to earn the 2-0 victory.

Luke Brady and Edwin Acosta-Sanchez scored a goal in the win with Logan McEvoy collecting an assist in the Carbon win.

Up next for the Dinos is a road trip to face the No.9 Delta Rabbits.

The meeting in Price between these two teams turned into an overtime clash that ended in a 2-1 shootout win for the Dinos.
