Carbon girl’s golf was on the road on Monday to take on the Region 12 field at Cove View Golf Course the home of the Richfield Wildcats. Richfield was able to claim the top spot with 336, the Lady Dinos ended the day in fifth with 435.

Last week at the Carbon Country Club the Lady Dinos only had three players so they couldn’t count it towards their team score, but the individual scores do towards their year-end score.

The host Wildcats finished first with 335, and Juab claimed second with 388. Emery finished in third with 408, and Manti and Carbon rounded out the top five. Richfield’s Shelby Gardner had the top round of the day with 82.

Carbon’s Carley West shot an 84, and Kaylynn Black had a 98. Grace Simms carded a 105 and Leah Sweeney made up the rest of the top four for the Lady Dinos.

Carbon will be on the road Thursday at possibly the toughest course in Region 12, Millsite. A complete 180 from Cove View, that is long and has plenty of space, Millsite has tight narrow fairways that are all about ball placement, you may want to leave the driver in the bag.
