The Emery girl’s golf squad is getting down to business. Due to a couple of matches getting rescheduled, they will be playing a couple of times a week to get caught up.  Monday they were in Richfield to play in a contest that was originally set for March 14. The host Wildcats earned the top finish on their home course, Emery ended the day in third.

Emery is starting to come on at the right time. In the last three matches, they have had top-four finishes, and this week on Thursday they welcome Region 12 to Millsite.

Host Richfield earned the top spot with a score of 336, and Juab landed in second with 388. Emery (408), Manti (425), and Carbon (435) made up the top five.  Richfield’s Shelby Gardner had the low round of the day with an 80.

Cheyenne Bingham led the Lady Spartans with a 93. Brandee Larcival shot a 98. Claire Lindsey had a 107, and Ava Leonard shot a 110 for Emery.

Emery welcomes Region 12 to Millsite on Thursday. One of the toughest courses in the region, Millsite is a high-risk-reward course that can pay off if you are good at ball placement.
