The Dino soccer squad made the trip to Delta on Wednesday to take on the Rabbits. After a scoreless first half, Carbon found the back of the net twice in the second taking the 2-0 win.
The Dinos moved to 9-1 overall and hold the same record in region play. Carbon also sits in the No. 3 spot in the RPI and there are only four games left until the end of the season.
Carbon’s defense was on display the whole contest, as they were able to keep the Rabbits from between the pipes, but the Dinos were unable to score as well carrying a 0-0 tie into halftime.
In the second half, Carbon came out firing scoring two goals, and with Canon Mortensen in goal, the Dinos were able to shut out Delta and take the 2-0 win.
Tyler Morris and Luke Brady each scored one goal, and Connor Cunningham had an assist as well. Mortensen logged save number three and a half on the season in the win.
Carbon will be back on the field on Friday when they welcome the Richfield Wildcats to Price.
Game time is set at 4:00 p.m..
