The Carbon boy’s volleyball squad was back on the court on Thursday night when they traveled to Mount Pleasant to take on the North Sanpete Hawks. This was the second region contest for the Dinos and unfortunately, it didn’t work out in their favor as North Sanpete took the match 3-0.

Carbon moves to 2-12 with the loss and 1-1 in Region 2 play, but they moved to No. 10 in the RPI as we are closing in on the season’s final weeks that will come to a close on April 30.

The first set was the best for the Dinos as they were able to make it competitive but North Sanpete still came away with the 25-21 win. In the second set, Carbon came out fighting but the Hawks, who are ranked as the No. 4 squad in 3A, took the 25-19 win, and in the final set, the Hawks claimed the 25-9 win closing out the Dinos in three sets.

Charles Tima had a pair of service aces and six digs. Kyler Orth collected six kills, and Alexis Bueno collected seven assists, and Zeke Wilson had a pair of blocks in the loss.

The Dinos will welcome Juan Diego to Price on Tuesday for a region showdown.
