The upcoming season of Helper Saturday Vibes is coming up in May and organizers have been busy finalizing plans to make sure they have a successful season. Castle Country Radio caught up with Executive Director, Kimberly Kuehn to see how things are going thus far.
It has been very important to have all of the Helper Main Street businesses welcome the festival to the area. “It’s been unbelievable and then this year, more and more are just coming out of the woodwork for sponsoring and being a part of it. The energy level is just amazing, everybody is super excited about May 11,” stated Kuehn. The Saturday gathering is a free family friendly, community event that takes places along Helper’s Historic Main Street.
Guests can enjoy live music, art, food, kids activities and a full bar. One of the main sponsors for the alcoholic beverages is General Distributing out of Wellington. “They’re sponsoring the bar for the fourth year in a row, adding Cheladas, and hard seltzers. We’ve got a lot of good things going on in the bar area,” explained Kuehn. There will be non-alcoholic beverages available to purchase as well.
The first Helper Saturday Vibes will kick off on May 11 and the theme for the evening will be Everything Animal. “Yes, that is the theme for May 11 so we encourage you to bring your animals down. We’re going to have a little pet parade so dress them up, and walk them down Main Street, show off your little pets, bring them out for some fun,” said Vendor Manager, Ruth L. Organizers would like to remind pet owners to please pick up after their pet and be sure to keep all pets leashed throughout the event for their safety.
There will be several food and merchant vendors scheduled to attend the event on Mother’s Day weekend. “Everybody has been cooped up all Winter and so the very first Saturday Vibes that happens everybody is out on the town, people want to sign up to become a vendor. So if you’re taking your mom out for Mother’s Day bring her down, we have plenty of vendors selling homemade, handmade gifts,” stated Ruth L. Don’t forget there will be several children activities taking place throughout the evening.
