Lady Dino softball was back on the road Thursday when they traveled to Richfield to face the Wildcats. Coming off a win at Juab, Carbon used another big seventh inning to put the game away and take the 13-0 win.

Carbon holds a 9-5 overall record to go with their 7-1 mark in Region 12 play. They sit securely in the No. 5 spot in the latest RPI. The Lady Dinos are also coming off another big conference win against Juab where they used a seven-run seventh to take the 18-2 victory.

The Dinos put up one run in the first and then things would get quiet. Danica Adams was in the circle for Carbon and took care of business keeping the Wildcats off the scoreboard. One run each went on the board in the fourth and fifth and then in the sixth Shayla Penovich hit a grounder to the second baseman and reached on an error bringing Samantha Riddle and Sage Vea home to move the score to 6-0.

In the seventh, it was all about the Lady Dinos when with two outs and two on Adri Abeyta came up to the plate sending one deep over the left field wall bringing home Vea and Penovich and pushing the score to 13-0. Adams came in for the final three outs as the Wildcats went three up and three down, and Carbon earned their seventh region win.

Riddle collected three hits scored two runs and had an RBI for Carbon. Kylan Sorenson and Vea had a pair of hits with two runs scored, Vea would add an RBI. Abeyta had two hits with two runs scored and three RBIs, and Brielle Sandoval had a pair of hits, three RBIs, and a run scored.

Adams had a great day getting the start and the complete game shutout, allowing only three hits and striking out 12.

The Lady Dinos will be on the field Friday in Mount Pleasant when they face the North Sanpete Hawks.
