Lady Dino softball had won three of their last four as the Richfield Wildcats came to town on Wednesday. Carbon scored first with three runs in the bottom of the opening inning and then went on to scatter four more runs throughout the next five innings on their way to a 7-0 win.

Carbon moves to 13-10 this season and holds the No. 7 spot in the latest RPI, with four games left.

Kylan Sorenson came to the plate in the first with one on and sent a hard line drive to right field driving Adri Abeyta home, next batter up was Brielle Sandoval who sent another double to right sending Sorenson home. Brailee Peterson stepped up and grounded out to second but that would allow Sandoval to score putting the Carbon lead at 3-0.

Peterson came up to bat in the fifth and sent a grounder to center field that allowed Sandoval to score to get the lead to 6-0, the Lady Dinos added one more run in the sixth and behind a tremendous performance in the circle by Danica Adams, would blank the Wildcats 7-0.

Abeyta had a pair of hits and two runs scored for the Dinos. Sorenson had a pair of hits a run scored and an RBI, Peterson collected a pair of hits with three RBIs and Shayla Penovich earned two RBIs in the win.

Adams got the complete game win giving up just one hit and striking out 16.

The Lady Dinos head back to the diamond on Wednesday when they take on Union at the softball field at the fairgrounds.

Game time is set for 3:30 p.m..
