The Eastern Utah Tattoo Expo is set to begin on Friday, Apr. 26 and run through till Sunday, Apr. 28 at the Carbon County Events Center from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm each day.

This year will feature 50 artists from around the country coming to share their work with individuals in Eastern Utah. “We really want to bring the community and the tattoo world together. See how these artists express themselves, how individuals with tattoos express themselves. I would like people to know though that if you come to the expo with an idea for a tattoo – talk with your artist. Make sure you get across the point what you want, get exactly what you want done, because it’s permanent,” said Event Representative Jeff Passarella. It’s very important to do your homework on an artist before committing to a piece of permanent art work on your body.

The Eastern Utah Tattoo Expo has all the artists listed on their Instagram page so those interested in looking at their work can do so before the expo. “You can go to our Instagram page Eastern Utah Expo and also on our website easternutahexpo.com I’d rather you push to the Instagram page because its got a list of all our artists on there. You can contact the artist directly right now, start talking with them, start setting up times you’re going to come in and that would be the best way to get a hold of them” explained Passarella.

Last year there were several vendors available selling various items but that will not be the case this year. Event organizers wanted to focus on the tattoo artists so without those vendors they were able to bring in almost double the number of artists than last year. “So, we’ll open the doors at 11:00 am every day and the doors close at 10:00 pm every day. It’s $10.00 per entry, 12 and under are free, and we also do a weekend pass for $25.00 for the entire weekend,” said Passarella.
