Mark your calendar for the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center Golf Tournament taking place on June 22 at the Carbon Country Club Golf Course. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Director, Shelley Wright to get all the details.
“It will be June 22, we will have the shotgun at noon. We are still recruiting teams, it will be $400.00 per team, that includes your green and cart fees, dinner and tickets are also included in that,” stated Shelley Wright. Following the tournament there will be a dinner and a live band at the Carbon County Event Center at 6:00 pm.
All of the proceeds earned from the Golf Tournament will be used by the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center assist with expenses not covered by their contracts. “Our contracts are basically grants and grants don’t usually increase from year to year, they’re usually a five-year grant. We receive the same type of funding, the same amount, every year for five years so we’re able to offset the cost for running the center, that could be supplies, utilities, rent, whatever we need, training fees,” explained Wright.
Golf registration is currently taking place and tournament organizers are also looking for businesses to help sponsor a hole. “We’re taking hole sponsors and those cost $150.00. If you are interested in being a hole sponsor, we want to get your business up on sign so we’ll need your logo. To reach us out at the center and to ask about all of our programs you can call me directly at (435) 636-3735,” stated Wright.
