The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Casino Night on May 3 at 7:00 pm at the Carbon County Event Center on Fairgrounds Road. Anyone over the age of 21 are invited to attend this fun event. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to get all the details.
“It’s my favorite event of the year. We hire Slickenstein Poker, so Mike Huff and all of his dealers come. Its such a professional outfit, he brings all of his tables, and all of his chips. It’s a great time to learn how to play table games. If you don’t know how to play craps or roulette or blackjack. Mike’s dealers are all so helpful and they just want you to have a good time,” said Haeck. There will be BINGO, Black Jack, Craps, Faro, Let It Ride, Roulette and Poker that will be played during the Casino Night event.
There are two main fundraising events that the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce hosts, that would be Casino Night and their annual Golf Tournament in October. “So part of the proceeds we use for the banquet that we host in Dec. its either the First Responders Banquet or the Nurses Banquet. In 2024, its will be a Nurses Banquet and that’s a free dinner for all nurses in Carbon County and a guest,” explained Haeck. The proceeds earned will also go toward chamber expenses like their monthly luncheons and free ribbon cuttings that they offer every business in Carbon County whether they are a chamber member or not.
Currently tickets for Casino Night are now available to purchase. “Or you can call the chamber office. Tickets are $20.00 if you buy them before the event or $25.00 at the door. You can call me at the chamber office at (435) 637-2788 or all of our board members are also selling tickets,” said Haeck. Each ticket holder will receive $100.00 in chips. Chips will be exchanged for tickets beginning at 11:00 pm. Must be present to win. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to enjoy the festivities during Casino Night.
