
East Carbon-Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend Ila “Jackie” Fivecoat Rea, passed away peacefully at her home in East Carbon on May 13, 2024 at the age of 93.
She was born on September 17, 1930 to Samuel and Eula Spitler Fivecoat in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was the second born out of eleven kids. The family moved around before settling in Utah when Jackie was a teenager.
She married Milton “Buddy” Rea on December 5, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent 70 wonderful years together and had two children.
She was an excellent homemaker and cook. Her cinnamon rolls were the best! She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, crocheting, word searches and shopping. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Eula; husband, Milton “Buddy” Rea; siblings, Dora May Lauffer, Samuel Fivecoat Jr., Thomas Fivecoat, Jim Fivecoat, Wayne Fivecoat and Billy Fivecoat.
Survived by her children, Jeanna (William) Vigil and Gary (Lindy) Rea; grandchildren, Jeff (Mimi Trujillo) Vigil, Kaelen Vigil, Marci Duvris, Shane (Jaylynn) Rea, and Lindsie (CJ) Birch; great grandchildren, Anna Duvris, Georgina Duvris, Devon Trujillo, Adriana Vigil and William Vigil; sisters, Sue (Richard) Robinson, Dana Copeland; brothers, Bob Fivecoat and Chris (Judy) Fivecoat.
The family would like to thank Glindora, Roger, Mary and Kris for helping with her care. We love you mom and will miss you!
Graveside service will be held for both Buddy and Jackie to be reunited again on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 12 noon at the East Carbon City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Jackie at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
