Carbon Medical Service and the Carbon County Business Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting for a new price clinic location on Friday, May 17. The new clinic is the third under Carbon Medical Services, which also operates clinics in Helper and Sunnyside.

The new location for the clinic at 92 North 400 East in Price offers an upgraded facility, with the addition of an OBGYN doctor, an optometrist and many other services being provided for patients. Micheal O’Shea, an administrator for Carbon Medical Service, spoke about what the clinic aims to do for the community”: We do everything, it’s very comprehensive, and we want supreme health care for everyone. Money is not an issue; if you’re unable to pay, you still get taken care of.”

One aspect that sets the clinic and Carbon Medical Service apart is the sliding scale they use to decide payments. Their website states,” Whether you have insurance or not, we offer an income-based sliding scale to make our service affordable without sacrificing quality.”

The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and offers after-hours urgent care services if needed.
