This year’s Graduation Spectacular is going to take place on May 23 at 8:00 pm inside the BDAC on the campus of USU Eastern. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representatives, Eric Holt and Allie Smith to discuss all the details.

Graduation Spectacular is held at the end of school year for high school students to let loose and celebrate the completion of another school year in a safe manner. “So the theme this year for Grad Spec is Expect the Unexpected and one of the main things they got this year is this Hana Entertainment Group. They will be coming in an showing some aero-performers, fire dancers, contortionists,” said Holt. There will be a talent show, dancing, opportunity drawings, tournaments, live music, and so many activities for students to enjoy. A movie will close out the night’s fun at the King Koal Theatre at 2:00 am.

One of the new events this year is an escape room, as Smith explains, “There’s going to be an Escape Room and it will be super fun, there’s also going to be a full arcade, with a claw machine and pool table, and dancing and a photobooth.” Tickets for the event are currently on sale and will be made available for purchase during the lunch hour at Carbon High. Pre-sale tickets are on sale for $20.00, there will be a slight increase in price if purchased at the door of the event.

The annual celebration is a big production with several businesses and individuals donating money and time. Organizers are still looking for individuals to help volunteer this year for a couple of hours, if you would like to volunteer, please call 630-7581.
