
Paul Cowley, 75, of Huntington, Utah, passed away on May 18, 2024, with his family by his side, after living a life full of love and joy with his eternal companion, Cathy Hatch Cowley.
Paul was born on April 12, 1949, to Stanley Anton Cowley and Marie Wakefield in Price, Utah. After graduating from Emery High School in 1968, Paul went on to study at the College of Eastern Utah on a basketball scholarship. Paul then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central Atlantic States Mission. After his mission, Paul and Cathy were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple in 1971.
Paul was a giant among men both in physical stature and admirable character, determined to humbly provide for his family and serve in his community in many capacities. He served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many callings. One of his most treasured callings was in the Manti Utah Temple serving as a Sealer.
Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy; and his sons, Jeffery (Laneea) Cowley, Briant (Tiffany) Cowley, and Trevor (Brooke) Cowley all of Huntington; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also survived by his brothers, Pete (Sandy) Grange, Tracy (Jeanine) Cowley, Barry (Wynne Ann) Cowley, Cydni (Garth) Pitts, and Ryan Cowley.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jared; his parents; his grandparents; and his sisters, Sandra and Carrolyn.
Funeral service, Thursday, May 23, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Huntington 1st Ward Chapel (115 South 400 East) in Huntington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church in Huntington. Burial will follow in the Huntington City Cemetery.
