Castleview Hospital announced that they are closing Pinnacle Peak Pharmacy on Wednesday, May 29.

The pharmacy, which has been operating since 2017, is one of a handful of pharmacies in the Carbon County Area.

A statement from Castleview Hospital reads,” Castleview Hospital recently made the difficult decision to close Pinnacle Peak Pharmacy, our retail pharmacy located at 317 East 100 North. When we opened Pinnacle Peak Pharmacy in 2017, we sought to provide a valuable service to our patients in the region to support local access to prescription medications. In the years since, our community has welcomed new pharmacies, and we are pleased to see that our patients now have the ability to choose a preferred pharmacy among at least five other retail locations in Price. As a community hospital and regional referral center, we are committed to prioritizing under-resourced services as we expand access to care for our patients.”

The last day of operation will be Wednesday, May 29, with Castleview Hospital and Lifepoint working to ease the transition for patients into their new pharmacies. For those impacted, you can contact the pharmacy at (435) 637-6337 or Castleview Hospital at (435) 637-4800.
