Thomas Jefferson once famously said,” Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their government.” And with election season getting into full swing, Castle Country Radio has put together a guide for primary election information with important dates, times and locations to make sure you know how, when and where to vote. As for the who, that is up to you.

General

To vote in the primary election, you must have declared a party affiliation. Due to Utah House Bill 197, the deadline to do this was Jan. 9 of this year. But if you do want to switch political affiliations after this election cycle, you can do so when you register to vote.

The last day that you can register to vote in the primary election is Friday, June 14, by 5 p.m. If you’re showing up to vote in person, make sure to bring two forms of identification with you (driver’s License, Passport, Birth Certificate, ETC..).

To register to vote, you can either mail or email a copy of the voter registration form found here, or you can register online by visiting the state’s website. You can also register in person to vote at your County Clerk’s office, but you should contact them first by phone or email before going in.
