Following a fantastic kickoff for the Price Culture Connections when Peter Breinholt came to town last Thursday, June 13, Culture Connection welcomes Cherie Call into town on Thursday, June 20.

Castle Country Radio sat down with event organizers Lane Miller and Ted Hinkley to talk about the upcoming event, with Hinckley speaking on the talent of Call, saying,” Cherie Call is a songwriter who’s been around for about twenty years and has contributed to lots of records. Songwriter probably isn’t the best way to describe her though, she’s a storyteller. She sets up her songs and explains the genesis of the idea behind the song. It will be a great night.

Miller added to this stating,” Now that sounds like the perfect event, music and storytelling in the Shade of Washington Park.”

Price Culture Connections is enjoying its first year in Washington Park, after spending the last several years in the Peace Gardens. Miller explained the rationale behind the move, sharing a story of a performer who once told him,” It’s like performing in the sun out there,” which Miller said played into the decision to change venues.

Call is set to perform on Thursday, June 20, starting at 7 p.m. in Washington Park in Price, Utah. Following this week’s performance, the next Culture Connection event will be on Thursday, June 27, and will feature Davey and the Midnights.
