Paula Rae Quayle Lucas, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

She was born on December, 6, 1954, to Paul Walker and Dahrl Rael Miller Quayle in Granger, Utah. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Lee Lucas, on July 21, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mom loved all of her family and friends deeply!

She had a passion for many things and she loved them all so very much. She loved being a room mother when we were all in school. She loved baking cakes for her family and friends and had an incredible talent in decorating them. She loved crocheting, crafting, and craft fairs and traveling with her mom, sisters, and all of us following along. She loved to go on field trips and all the fun Girl Scout things she could do.

Paula loved being with her friends and traveling with everyone she could. She adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her kids, but most of all she loved her husband, Jimmy Lee Lucas (Jim); well, most of the time she called him daddy because that is what we call him too. She would talk about how she still loved holding hands with him even after 50-plus years of marriage. She loved participating and traveling and going to the car shows with dad and her family.

Paula has had many health problems for quite some time. We want everyone to know that even though she did not get out often, make calls or get to visit, she never stopped loving everyone.

She is survived by her husband Jim; children, Nathan, Megan and Thomie; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron Quayle (Cathy), Bob Quayle (Judy), Randy Quayle; sisters, Koni Liston, Julie Winn (Travis).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dahrl; nephew, Ryan Quayle; and her niece, Tracey Quayle Row.
