Kathryn M Houskeeper Peczuh, 77, passed away unexpectedly at home surrounded by the people she cherished the most, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Kathryn was born in Price, Utah on December 4, 1946, to Mary Helen Blackburn and William Kent Houskeeper. Kathryn grew up in East Carbon, graduated early, and started her career path. She worked as a chief operator for Mountain Bell for 19 years and Carbon School District for 19 more. She remembered everything about everyone she met which made each person feel special. Her greatest career was as a wife, Momma, and Goose.
On September 22, 1973, Kathryn married the love of her life, Michael Andrew Peczuh, and began a marriage of true devotion. They were married in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they built a legacy of love, loyalty, and family. They have a son and daughter, as well as a daughter-in-law and son-in-law, nine grandchildren, and three grandchildren-in-law.
Kathryn has been a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in callings, especially in the library with all the books. Her quiet devotion has been a beautiful example to her family.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Michael of Carbonville, Utah; daughter, Amy (Jason) Marshall of Spring Glen, Utah; son, James (Anna Leah) of Yakima, Washington; mother, Mary Helen Houskeeper of Wellington, Utah; and brother, Gary Kent (Tami) Houskeeper of Spring Glen, Utah.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Kent Houskeeper; parents-in-law, Mary and John Peczuh; siblings, Carrie Ward and Karl Houskeeper; and siblings-in-law, John Peczuh Jr., Mary Ann Peczuh, and Frank Peczuh.
Funeral service, Monday, July 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Sunday evening from 4-6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
