Price Culture Connections is entering its fifth week of the season following an action-packed Independence Day spectacular filled with fireworks and fun. And this week event organizers Ted Hinckley and Layne Miller suspect that residents of the Castle Valley area will love the performance from Waylon, Willie, and Cash, a Tribute to the Highwaymen on Thursday, July 11.
Opening our conversation, Miller provided a recap of last week’s festivities,” We counted and we had about 600 people there for the concert. I’m not sure we’ve had a bigger concert in Carbon County in a long time. It was fun with the fireworks and good music and dancing, it was just a blast.”
After this Hinckley looked to the future, discussing the upcoming Culture Connection,” we got stars, I mean, we always talk about in show business, they have things you can’t teach.” Hinckley continued praising the group,” These are, these are professional performers and top flight, they make their living performing … It’s an exciting show with great players and it’s just a great book of songs. I mean, there just aren’t better songs than these. So just a lot to be excited about for Culture Connections this week.”
Miller and Hinckley also took the time to describe what the process is like booking all these acts,” We have great shows through the whole summer. And so we’re not putting all our eggs in this basket, but rather our basket is full of eggs”
Finishing our conversation, Miller wanted to remind everyone that Culture Connections is held in Washington Park this year, which offers more shade and more space for people to gather.
