Janet Kay Gerkin, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on July 13th, 2024. Jan was born February 2, 1948 in Lyons, Colorado. She married Larry Gerkin in June of 1969 in Longmont, Colorado; they later divorced.

Jan worked as a rural route letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Price for over 35 years. She always went above and beyond personal customer service with her patrons at the post office and truly loved her job. In her spare time, she could be found watching old movies and gardening in her yard. She also enjoyed books, art, and the opera. Jan will be sorely missed by her family and a community of friends.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Launna Davis, Logan, UT; three grandsons, Vincent Davis, Logan, UT, Nathan, and Korben; and her two sisters.

Celebration of Life for Jan will be Thursday, July, 18, 2024, 6:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main St. Price, UT) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
