The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce met for their monthly luncheon on Thursday, July 18. During this luncheon, several businesses and organizations were celebrated by the Chamber, including Chaos Cove Wraps and Graphics, Willis Works Studio and Soroptimist International of Price.

Soroptimist International started, with Terry Willis and Wendy Berryman representing the organization. Soroptimist International is a volunteer organization dedicated to empowering women through access to education and training to help them achieve financial success.

“It’s an international organization that has been in place for over 100 years. And our club has been in place for 70 years, and was founded by Helen Oliveto Smith.” Willis explained,” We currently have close to 20 members, and we’re always looking for more. So if you are interested in being involved in an organization that works at improving the lives of our women and girls in the community, you just need to get a hold of either myself or Wendy Berryman, and we’d love to have you be part of our organization.”

After this another community spotlight was presented, this time for the Eastern Leaders Academy. The Leaders Academy takes place over nine months and allows participants to learn new leadership skills through various experiences such as visiting the State Capitol.

Next, it was time for Chaos Cove to step into the spotlight. Nicole Parker from Chaos Cove spoke to those in attendance saying,” We started a few years ago in a small room in my house, and from there grew rapidly.” The business’s work ranges from as small as stickers to as big as wrapping cars, providing a plethora of services for residents of the Castle Valley Area.

Rounding out the business spotlights was Willis Works Studio based out of Price which offers beautiful paintings inspired by the scenery of the Castle Valley Area. Willis, the owner of the studio, spoke to the audience,” This place that I live is in my soul, it’s everything.” Willis continued to explain that on top of her regular works which can be viewed on her website here, she also creates commissioned works for those who want it.

Castle Country Radio would like to congratulate and thank these organizations for all they do for the community in the Castle Country Area.
