Betty Jo Ruden, age 86, passed away suddenly July 18, 2024 in Price.

She was born June 23, 1938 at home in Mutual, Utah to Mike John Svetich and Dorothy Louise Kilgore.  Betty Jo married Joseph William Ruden, Jr., on January 14, 1957 in White Pine County, Nevada and from this marriage two children were born, a daughter Belinda and a son Randy Kirk prior to their divorce.

Betty Jo was a daughter of a coal miner.  She enjoyed living in a mining camp, was full of outdoor activities, horseback riding, bike riding, softball, roller skating and of course sleigh riding and ice skating in the winter.

She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; it was the greatest joy of her life. She loved spending time and doing things with them. She also had a serious passion for clothes and jewelry.

Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Belinda Timothy of Las Vegas; son, Randy Ruden of Helper; brother, Richard (Terri)  Svetich of Reno; sisters, Debra (Russ) Dull of Price; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two nephews, one niece and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents and grandparents.

Memorial service  Monday, July 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m.,  Mitchell Funeral Home, Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s one hour prior to services. Interment Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
