Louis  Laverne “Butch” Grant, Jr., age 66, passed away July 29, 2024 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah from complications of a fall. Butch was born July 23, 1958 in Shirley, New York to Louis and Rosella Burringo Grant. He married Sherie Jones on January 13, 1995 in Helper, Utah.

Butch was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he was a valued employee of Spring Glen Heating for many years. Butch enjoyed working alongside the Garcia family on many projects in the area. He shared a deep love for his grandbabies and lived for his family. Everyone will surely remember Butch for his white Ford Bronco that he loved to take on slow rides around town.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherie; daughters, Stacie (Nick) Turpin, Spring Glen, and Ashley (Jason) Hollis, San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Riley, Alexis, Sabrina, Brianna, Abbi, Jaycee, and Johnny; sisters, Cynthia Vigil, Price, and Sherry (Alex) Arroyo, Helper, brother, Guy Grant, Helper; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter (Staci) Jones, Minersville, UT, Tammy (Jan) Curtis, Elmo, UT, Korin (Mark) Johnson, Logan, UT, and Ben (Sharon) Jones, Price.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sheree Grant.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Utah Valley Hospital, especially the ICU staff, for the amazing care, love, and support shown to Butch and our family.
