Carbon cross country started the season over the weekend at the Premier Invitational at the Cottonwood Complex in Salt Lake City. At the end of the meet the Carbon boys captured first place in their division while the Lady Dinos ran to a third-place finish.

Carbon claimed the top spot on the boy’s side followed by Grantsville and Morgan. Emery and Union rounded out the top five.

For Carbon, Spencer Butler was the top finisher in fourth place. Dallin Humes was close behind in sixth. Bradley Sweeney (10), Michael Weber (12), and Samuel Wilson (17) rounded out the top five finishers for the Dinos.

For the girls, Emery claimed the top spot, followed by Union, Carbon, and Morgan.

Josie Yates landed in fifth place as the top finisher for the Lady Dinos.  Brettlee Kennedy (11), Aly Bryner (12), Kiley Bishoff (16), and Kaylee Pitcher (17) made up the top five.

Both teams will be back at it on August 16 when they travel to the Regional Athletic Complex at Rose Park.
