
Carbon and Emery golfers got the season rolling on the road in Fairview on Tuesday at the Skyline Golf Course, home of the North Sanptete Hawks. Richfield took the top spot with a score of 298, while the Dinos finished fourth with a 327 and Emery was in fifth with 356.
After Richfield, Juab earned a second-place finish scoring 310. Delta took third with 320 and Carbon and Emery rounded out the top five. Individually, Richfield’s Pace Mullen had the low round with a 69, with teammate Kalen Kelsey shooting a 73. Ty Bender (74) and Crue Cowan (75) of Juab landed in third and fourth. Caden Meinhardt of Delta and Richfield’s Braigen McConnell shot a 77 tying for fifth.
Rydge Butler led the way shooting a 78 for the Dinos, followed by Dayton King’s 80. Levi King (82), Cash Withers (87), and Paxton Falk (97) made up the scoring five for Dinos. McKennon Stevenson shot a 113.
For the Spartans, Alex Hansen had the low round with an 82. Dempsey Toomer followed with an 86. Champ Justice and Crew Behling both shot a 94, and Mason Riley made up the scoring five with a 105. Ethan Gilbert shot a 110.
The region comes to Price next Wednesday, August 21 as Carbon is host at their home course, the Carbon Country Club Golf Course.
