The Lady Dinos looked to rebound after their loss to Canyon View on Tuesday and only had to wait until Thursday when the Juab Wasps came to Price. After a scoreless first half, Carbon put five goals up in the second half to take the 5-0 win.

Carbon traveled to Cedar City on Tuesday to take on Canyon View and battled the Falcons but fell just short 5-3.

Both teams held each other in check in the first half with neither one finding the back of the net, as the scoreboard read 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the Lady Dinos found the holes that they needed in the Juab defense as they scored seemingly at will finding the back of the net five times to take the 5-0 victory moving them to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in Region 12 play.

Malia Smith scored three goals in the contest, tying her with Manti’s Taylie Mickelsen for goals in the state across all classes with 12, Smith also had one assist. Bailey Johnson registered a goal and and an assist, Chrissy Jones had a goal and Blythe Bradford had an assist in the huge win. Madi Barlow collected nine saves in the contest earning her fourth shutout.

The Lady Dinos head back to the field with two region tilts next week. On Tuesday they will travel to Delta, last season Carbon lost both contests to the Rabbits. On Thursday, the Richfield Wildcats come to Price, Carbon earned wins in both games last season.

The game with Richfield is set to begin on Thursday at 4:00 p.m..
